When I think about perfect wedding days, Catherine and Alec’s Clarks Landing Yacht Club wedding stands out in every way. The day was filled with warmth, laughter, and such a genuine connection between the two of them. As their photographer, I loved their fun-loving energy, elegant style, and how deeply they were present with each other all day long. I love this venue for its breathtaking ceremony space that overlooks the marina, gorgeous natural light, and the effortless flow between each part of the day.

Catherine and Alec chose to hold their ceremony in the beautiful indoor ceremony space at Clarks Landing Yacht Club — one of my favorite hidden gems of the venue. With floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the marina, this space feels open and bright, while still offering the comfort of being indoors. The natural light pouring in created a soft, dreamy atmosphere that made everything feel even more romantic.

They kept the ceremony decor simple and elegant with floral arrangements placed at the front of the aisle and along the seating, perfectly complementing the stunning waterfront view. The ceremony itself was heartfelt and warm — earlier in the day, Catherine and Alec had shared personal vows in private, just the two of them. It was such a meaningful moment, and I loved capturing the emotion and intimacy of that exchange before the formalities of the ceremony began. Before guests arrived, we also took some time in front of the venue for portraits with the bridal party and the trolley that brought them in. It was such a fun, high-energy moment — the trolley added a touch of vintage charm, and the group brought great vibes to the photos. These kinds of personalized transportation details are always fun to capture and add personality to the final gallery.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour indoors, just steps from the ballroom. One thing I always notice at Clarks Landing is how seamless the transitions are. Guests flowed easily from one part of the evening to the next, and the staff kept everything on schedule without it ever feeling rushed.

The ballroom was styled beautifully with soft ivory and dusty blue florals, floating candles, and gold accents. The space itself is a showstopper, with panoramic windows looking out onto the marina and elegant architectural details that elevate every part of the experience. It was the perfect setting for Catherine and Alec’s wedding reception — timeless, airy, and full of light.

We stepped out onto the outdoor terrace just before dinner for some stunning sunset portraits. This is one of my favorite moments to sneak away with couples — the lighting is unbeatable, and the marina backdrop gives everything a warm, romantic glow. Catherine’s veil picked up just the right amount of breeze, and Alec couldn’t stop smiling at her. Those golden-hour shots are pure magic and such a beautiful way to take a breath together before heading into the celebration.

The rest of the evening was full of emotional toasts, great food, and nonstop dancing. Catherine and Alec’s friends and family truly brought the party — the dance floor was packed all night thanks to their amazing band, and the energy in the room never dipped once. I especially loved capturing the little moments: laughing with grandparents, stolen glances between the couple, and friends singing their hearts out under the chandeliers.

We ended the night with a few romantic portraits outside, with the marina lights twinkling in the background. It was the perfect way to wrap up a day full of beauty, love, and so much joy.
